Maple & Pine

Maple & Pine, our stunning new event centre at Bundaleer Forest Reserve, is officially open for business.

It has been a truly phenomenal effort from our team of incredibly skilled local tradespeople and volunteers to complete the venue in time for our first event today.

Maple & Pine has been constructed by Sanders Building Group, with $660,000 funding from the Australian Government, South Australian Government, Northern Areas Council and ForestrySA.

Incredibly generous volunteer contributions of skilled labour, equipment hire and cash from local businesses and individuals have added $300,000 value to the project.

Maple & Pine is about a new beginning for the Bundaleer Forest Reserve under custodianship of the Bundaleer Forest Community Areas Association.

It is a highly versatile venue that caters perfectly for everything from a small yoga class or family celebration through to a wedding for 160 guests or a rock concert on the deck.

Architecturally designed, energy efficient and constructed with quality materials by local tradespeople, this venue perfectly complements the natural beauty of Bundaleer.

By hiring out this magnificent destination event venue, BFCAA aims to create a sustainable income stream to help keep Bundaleer’s picnic ground and walking trails open.

Maple & Pine also has a much broader aims, some of those being: to promote Bundaleer as the birthplace of plantation forestry, boost our local regional economy through tourism and events, and provide a place for people to gather, celebrate, and connect to nature.

A family-friendly community celebration incorporating an official opening of the Maple & Pine will be held in autumn 2021.

Donations and cash sponsorship are greatly appreciated to help reduce the loan our board of management has taken on the complete the project to a high standard.
